Does your dog have watery eyes or weepy eyes (i.e. wet eyes or eyelashes)? Does he seem to always have wet eyes whenever you look at him? Is there anything else going on besides the wet eyes? Is there a discharge coming from the eyes? Is there any crustiness around the eyes? A clear discharge from your dog’s eyes may be because of an allergic reaction to something in the air such as dust. If there’s a thicker discharge like a mucus discharge then there could be a foreign body like an eyelash or a small piece of trash in your dog’s eyes. Dogs can also get conjunctivitis or pink eye in the eye which can cause swelling, sticky discharge and the inability to keep the eyes open.
