Showing your Yorkie in an American Kennel Club sanctioned show? If so, then you are most likely already a member of the AKC and your purebred Yorkie is probably already registered. If not, make sure you visit the AKC website and register first. Once you’re registered and you have attended a local show or have taken part in a practice show, you should proceed to signing up and registering your Yorkie for an actual show. Confirmation showing is the term used when referring to dog shows. In order to sign up for a class you will need to make sure the breed of your dog is being shown at a particular show. For instance, you will not be able to show your Yorkie if the show is only open to Pomeranians. Be sure to look for shows that will be open to your dog’s particular breed.
