Cats that don’t have a complete and balanced diet or is finicky about their food can become prone to malnutrition. But there are many ways also to avoid this problem and maintain your cat’s ideal body weight.
a. Heat your pet’s food for a few seconds in the microwave to bring out the flavors and make food more enticing to your cat.
b. Avoid making drastic changes on your pet’s diet. If there is really a need to introduce a new type of food, do it gradually so your cat will have enough time to get used to the new food.
c. Be meticulous about the food ingredients. Your pets are sensitive to something so take time in checking out the food label and ingredient. Do not substitute quality for the cheaper brands of pet food. Cheaper cat food might have more fillers than real meat ingredients.
If your pet suffers from malnutrition, do not hesitate to contact your veterinarian Derby to help solve this health issue.
