Allowing Your Hamster to Free Roam

If you own a hamster, have you ever thought about ways to help him get his daily exercise? You can provide him with toys, tunnels, and platforms in his cage to encourage him to move about. You can also place an exercise wheel in the cage. Just make sure the cage is not in a bedroom as the hamster will most likely be running on his wheel in the middle of the night. You can also give your hamster time to roam outside of his cage. If you do this, make sure you have a safe and secure area for him to roam in. You should supervise him all times when he’s out of his cage. If you have other animals in the home, make sure they are in another room and unable to get to your hamster. Provide your hamster with treats in his roaming area along with water and even some toys. Contact your vet Louisville, CO for more tips.
