How To Treat Cat Allergies

There are two ways to manage cat allergies. The first is to prevent exposure to the potential allergen and the second is to use anti-allergy medicines to ease the reaction to the allergen.

Cats suffering from atrophy are allergic to specks of dust and pollen. These allergens are airborne and therefore found everywhere. Since it is impossible to prevent exposure to specks of dust and pollen, cats are given anti-allergy medications to help in managing allergic reactions. Some of the medications that will be given are antihistamines and corticosteroids. Make sure to follow the dosage and application that your vet will recommend. These anti-allergy medications will have side effects so you need to be ready.
