Walking your Beagle in the Warmer Months

Winter is heading towards an end and it will be spring and summer before long. You’ll need to change your dog’s walking routines with the weather. For instance, during these warmer months you will want to make sure you keep your Beagle cool and hydrated while on his walk. Your vet may recommend keeping your Beagle indoors more often and not walking him during the hottest part of the day. If you do go for a walk during a hot part of the day make sure you take water with you. Walk for a short distance and stop for a water break for yourself and your Beagle. Avoid walking in the open sunlight and instead find shady areas to walk. You may want to take your dog to an indoor dog park if possible. You can also plan to take your longer walks in the cooler hours of the evening. Consult with your vet Fort Collins, CO for more tips.
