Helping An Obese Pet Cat Drop Some Pounds

Paying attention to your cat’s weight is also essential since obesity could pave the way for a poor state of living.  Obesity could severely interfere with your pet cat’s mobility.  It might also cause your cat to develop Diabetes Mellitus.  Your cat could also increase her risk of developing urinary issues (such as FLUTD) and osteoarthritis.

It is fortunate that there are some things that cat owners could do to control their pet’s weight, such as scheduled feeding times.

There are instances where your veterinarian might recommend transitioning your pet cat to prescription or OTC (over-the-counter) weight control diets.  Food items in these diets typically have a higher fiber and protein content compared to other pet food products.

But this transition from one meal product to another is a task that is easier said than done.

Do consult your vet Webster, NY before starting your pet on a weight loss regimen.
