Savannah Cats With Children And Other Pets

Most cat breeds are social and loving. For this reason, many households have chosen to have a cat as a family pet. Cats provide good companionship that may last a lifetime. Choosing a social feline to adopt is difficult because the list of candidates is long. But, if you are interested in a social feline that can also serve another purpose – say a vermin chaser – then you have a shortlist. The breed that may be on top of the list is the Savannah cat. That is right – these felines are social, active, and affectionate – perfect to be your family’s loving pet.

The Savannah cats can interact well with kids and other household pets. Because of their docile demeanor, they can play with your children, learn new tricks and behavior, walk on a leash, and cuddle. These felines can also bond with their fellow cats, such as the Siamese, Oriental Shorthairs, and Abyssinians.

Note, however, that these felines have good hunting skills although they are considered domestic. So if you have other pets like mice, hamsters, fish, and guinea pigs, the Savannah is not recommended for you to adopt. Your veterinarians Louisville KY can provide you more information.
