The La Perm cat is known for its curly and beautiful hair. Cut out the idea that her hair has a rough texture since it’s curly. It is honestly soft and light to the touch. Around her neck, her hair is longer and tighter. Her whiskers are also as curly as her hair. Just imagine a curly image when you hear the LaPerm, every corner of her body shouts the elegance of her curls.
This cat comes in two varieties in terms of coat length. She may have either a king or short hair. The most common colors of this cat are red, tortoiseshell, and tabby. It is easy to differentiate the longhaired LaPerm from the shorthaired LaPerm.
The longhaired variant has a plumed tail. You may also notice her hair parting on her back. On the other hand, the shorthaired variant has a rougher coat texture than the previous variant. She does not have any ruffs, and her tail is similar to the appearance of a bottlebrush.
There are LaPerms who are naturally born with curly hair. Others may be hairless or have had straight hair since birth. Eventually, they all end up having curly hair as they mature.
