Dwarf Rabbits Care Tips

Due to their fragility, dwarf rabbits need enough attention, care and maintenance. They make great pets if given the right living environment. You can allow dwarf rabbits to roam freely inside your home once you purchase one as a pet. Choose a larger cage if letting it roam inside the house is not an excellent choice for you. They will enjoy hopping around if there is enough room in the cage. You must give them access to a waste bin filled with wood pellets and cat litter that does not clump. Dwarf rabbits can be trained to utilize the litter bin like cats or dogs.

It would be best if you always give your pet lots of hay. For dwarf bunnies, you should buy premium hay or orchard grass. You could also purchase pellets made of hay. Give your pet rabbits unlimited pellets if they are six months or below. You can increase the amount once the rabbits are over the age of six months.

Fresh, dark leafy greens should be a part of their diet. It will help if you feed them enough veggies daily to maintain good health. A satisfying treat is a tiny baby carrot, banana or apple.
Your pet will benefit from regular health and wellness checks at your veterinary hospital Tampa, FL.
