Dangerous: How Hot Is Too Hot for Dogs?

Summer is quickly approaching. Some are already planning their activities for summer. Mostly, these activities include their pet. Before planning anything, make sure to consider the safety of your pet. Pets take and process heat differently from humans. Be very careful because, during summer, dogs are prone to heatstroke. It’s essential for you to take precautionary and preventive measures. This way, your dog doesn’t have to reach the point where he’s already struggling to cool down. Heatstroke can be fatal; thus, treat this matter seriously for your dog’s safety.

Dogs can adjust to the heat outside; however, this has a limit. When the temperature is over 77 degrees Fahrenheit, it might already be too hot for your pet. The heat of the air is different from the heat of pavements. Usually, pavements are hotter. Thus, ensuring your dog does not walk on hot pavements with his bare paws is also essential. This can affect his cooling-down abilities and cause his paws to burn.
