Gordon Setter Hair Coat

Sporting dogs developed in Scotland are the Gordon Setters. These pups are well-known for their agility, strength, vigor, and determination. They are playful and may retain such a trait even into adulthood. What about the physical appearance of these pups?

These Setters come in medium-sized bodies. Their bodies are covered with a shiny, soft coat that is either wavy (slightly) or straight. Some hair strands on their bodies are longer than other parts, including the tail, back of the legs, bellies, chests, and ears. Meanwhile, they have triangular-shaped “feathering” on their short tails.

In what color does their coat come? The Gordon Setters’ coat is either tan or black (classic) with a few marks that come in chestnut or mahogany hues. Some versions of this breed come with white spotting on their chest.
