Boston Terrier Personality

Also called American Gentlemen, Boston Terriers are affectionate, smart, lively, gentle, and even-tempered dogs. However, they tend to get stubborn— be consistent and persistent in training this breed. Early socialization is also essential to them, as it is with dogs of any breed. Start exposing your dog to many experiences at a young age to help him become well-rounded.

Despite their lively personality, Boston Terriers don’t need too much exercise. These indoor dogs are generally less active, making them excellent pets for people who live in an apartment or if you don’t have access to a yard. They’re not suited to live outside since they can’t handle too much cold or heat.

Keep in mind that Boston Terriers are sensitive to your voice’s tone and punishments, so make training motivational and low-key. Food rewards, plays, praises, and other positive techniques work better.
